EducationUSA also provides services to the U.S. higher education community to help institutional leaders meet their recruitment and campus internationalization goals. In this study, we explored how constructionism theory principles were integrated across six engineering academic making spaces to support student learning outcomes. Using a qualitative approach, we conducted a thematic analysis of semi-structured faculty and staff interviews. In Africa, the New Partnership for Africa’s Development has launched an “e-school program” to provide all 600,000 primary and high schools with computer equipment, learning materials and internet access within 10 years. As societies grow more complex, however, the quantity of knowledge to be passed on from one generation to the next becomes more than any one person can know, and, hence, there must evolve more selective and efficient means of cultural transmission.
